Case Study: Non-Hodgkin's
Lymphoma
History
53 year old male with intermittent fevers and palpable
left axillary adenopathy had a node biopsy demonstrating non-Hodgkin’s
lymphoma. PET/CT was done for staging.
PET/CT
Result
PET/CT images showed hypermetabolic adenopathy
above and below the diaphragm. No
extranodal disease was seen.
Outcome
The bone marrow biopsy was negative and the patient
was treated with chemotherapy
including Rituxan. The PET/CT scan six weeks following completion
of therapy was normal.
